Senior Consultant – Pediatric Hemato-Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant
Dr. Shobha Badiger is a highly accomplished Pediatric Hemato-Oncologist and Bone Marrow Transplant Specialist based in Bangalore, currently serving as a Senior Consultant at Mazumdar Shaw Medical Centre, Narayana Health City. With an MBBS from Karnataka Medical College, Dharwad, and an MD in Pediatrics from Bangalore Medical College, she further holds a DNB Pediatrics from the National Board, New Delhi, and a Fellowship in Hemato-Oncology from Narayana Health.
She brings over 15 years of specialized experience in treating complex pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions like leukemia, lymphoma, thalassemia, primary immunodeficiency disorders, and solid tumors. She has been instrumental in performing over 2000 allogenic bone marrow transplants including matched sibling, unrelated donor, and haploidentical transplants.
Dr. Shobha has served as an Assistant Professor at Rajarajeshwari Medical College, Bengaluru, and Registrar in Neonatology and Pediatrics at Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences. She is actively involved in CAR T-cell therapy research and is currently a part of the Data and Safety Monitoring Board for the IMN-003A00-201 Study.
Her outreach extends across North Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, where she has conducted numerous health check-up camps and facilitated stem cell transplants for children with thalassemia.
